pīnyīn diacritics

Filed under: dator / computer, web log — pl @ 21:44

I found a rather helpfull page, with a workaround for “how to add pīnyīn diacritics”.
They were not one-hundred percent perfect diacritics, but was of good help when making a working solution of my own:
(Write the letter, and paste the diacritic afterwards.)

The “i”‘s look somewhat weird (ī, í, ǐ, ì), because instead of replacing the dot, the diacritic is just added (and I’m used to having them replaced), and I’ve therefore added an “ī” and an “ǐ” at the ends (because they make fine delimiters too!). I have no special needs for “í” or “ì”, as I’ve already got dead keys for the acute and grave accents (available in both Swedish QWERTY and Svdvorak).

  1. Jag är glad att jag studerar japanska, betydligt lättare att translitterera… :)
